Swim-a-thon
Start: 8:30 AM
End: 11:00 AM
We will be holding our annual swim-a-thon this year in order to raise funds for equipment, etc. This event is fun and allows friends and family to support your swimmer and the team and does not ask you to buy anything! It is not mandatory but we hope that all of our swimmers will support the team and take part. Here is how it works: Collect sponsorships from neighbors and family. You can also sponsor your child! You will turn in the donations you collect at the Swim-a-Thon on July 17th, the day your swimmer will swim their laps. Prizes will be awarded for the highest number of laps by age group, enthusiasm/team spirit by age group, and overall donations. Each swimmer that swims and turns in donations will receive a goodie bag filled with treats and enjoy donuts that morning. The event will run during all three practices. With the latest restrictions in Phase 3, swimmers will need to come at their designated practice times. When we get a total number of swimmers we may be able to allow your swimmer to swim longer to achieve more laps, as done in years past. There will be no regular practice, just laps being counted by our parent volunteers! This is a great opportunity to raise money for the Edgehill EELS and participate in a FUN activity. We appreciate your support and so will the swimmers! If you have any questions, please contact [email protected] |
